April is bowel cancer awareness month Print
Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK and April is the month of the year when awareness of symptoms is raised - MOHS Workplace Health is pleased to support this and is encouraging our advisors and physicians to raise the profile of the disease.

Bowel cancer affects 1 in every 18 people - and it can hit people of any age. Common symptoms include:

Noticing blood in faeces or on toilet tissue
Going to the loo a lot more often
Pain or dicomfort in the tummy
Bowel blockages

If you are concerned speak with your GP.  Check ups are quick and simple - medical professionals have seen it all before so there is no need to be embarrassed - and things can be sorted out quickly.
