Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK and April is the month of the year when awareness of symptoms is raised - MOHS Workplace Health is pleased to support this and is encouraging our advisors and physicians to raise the profile of the disease. Bowel cancer affects 1 in every 18 people - and it can hit people of any age. Common symptoms include: Noticing blood in faeces or on toilet tissue Going to the loo a lot more often Pain or dicomfort in the tummy Bowel blockages If you are concerned speak with your GP. Check ups are quick and simple - medical professionals have seen it all before so there is no need to be embarrassed - and things can be sorted out quickly. |
