Marketing Medicine is pleased to announce that it is working with the team at Health Team Ltd on an exciting new project called Knowmalaria.

Knowmalaria is an innovative tool for travel health professionals to aid clinical decision-making in malaria prevention.

Currently, travel health consultations with non-specialised professionals do not always safely and effectively assess the traveller or consider possible medical interactions and contraindications. The current focus are destination specific and insufficiently traveller specific. How confident are travel health professionals in prescribing a prophylactic regimen? Do they know which questions to ask and the likely interactions and contraindications? Do they have the time and know-how to check for every possible conflict?

Improved safety, efficacy and efficiency is now available at the touch of a button. knowmalaria® is the first intelligent and interactive clinical decision-making tool which assesses the traveller as well as the destination.

Practitioners no longer need to check numerous websites, consult several texts and waste valuable face-to-face consultation time.

considered all the relevant factors.

Marketing Medicine has been working with the group to help them evaluate early stage funding, business planning and potential routes to market prior to their presentation at the ISTM 2011 Conference in Boston.
